Okiring Scoops January Club Player of the Month Award.

Defender Jephtha Marcos Okiring has been named the club’s Player of the Month for January following an outstanding run of performances in the opening month of 2026.

The versatile defender edged out goalkeeper Sebastian Monio and attacking midfielder Erick Namasaka to claim the maiden award of a cash price of Kshs. 5,000/-, which was introduced a fortnight ago by the club’s Team Leader, Mr. Ayiro Edwin Chahilu, as part of a new player motivation initiative.

Okiring enjoyed a remarkable January, starting in all five league matches as the team collected a maximum 15 points, keeping four clean sheets in the process. His commanding displays at the heart of the defense also earned him a Man of the Match award against Mwatate United on Matchday 18.

Speaking on the accolade, Mr. Ayiro described Okiring as a true symbol of resilience and personal growth.

“Jephtha has been a revelation. He embodies resilience and the power of a comeback,” Ayiro said in an exclusive interview with the club’s media unit. “On a personal level, I congratulate him and urge him to keep sweating blood as we pursue our dream—challenging history and defending our pride until the final whistle of the season.”

The former Compel FC player has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in the National Super League, featuring in nine matches in the concluded first stanza of the 2025/26 season and recording five clean sheets.
