Attacking Midfielder Moses Shikanda Agrees Deal to Join Soy United
Soy United is delighted to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Moses Shikanda on a permanent transfer, becoming the club’s third mid-season acquisition as it continues to strengthen its squad during the ongoing 2025/26 National Super League transfer window.
The 26-year-old joins the Blue Eagles juggernaut under the bossman rule after mutually parting ways with SportPesa League side Shabana FC in September 2025. Shikanda brings creativity, experience, and added firepower to Soy United’s attacking department.
An alumnus of the renowned Kakamega School, Shikanda expressed his excitement at joining the fast-rising club, describing the move as a major step in his career progression.
“I am elated to join this promising club. Soy United is an ambitious and fast-rising side that is keen on talent development. I am determined to help the team achieve its set targets while also continuing to grow my career,” said Shikanda.
Shikanda boasts top-flight experience, having previously featured for Kariobangi Sharks, where he spent two and a half successive seasons with the 2018 FKF Shield champions. He scored eight goals in his debut Premier League season before reuniting with former Soy United head coach Peter Okidi at Shabana FC in January 2025.
The attacking midfielder is no stranger to Soy United, having faced the club twice during the 2022 FKF National Division League campaign while turning out for Green Commandos SC.
Speaking on his return to competitive football after a six-month layoff, Shikanda remained optimistic about the new challenge ahead.
“I have been out of action for a while since leaving Shabana, and getting this opportunity is very important for me. It gives me the platform to revive my career, regain my form, and meet the competitive demands of the club,” he added.
Off the pitch, Shikanda is also accomplished academically, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
