Soy United Announce Signing of Robinson Kamura

Soy United is delighted to announce the signing of experienced central defender Robinson Kamura on a permanent transfer.
Kamura joins the Blue Eagles from Kakamega Homeboyz, becoming the club’s second mid-season acquisition as Soy United continues to strengthen its squad in the ongoing 2025/26 FKF National Super League season.

The 30-year-old brings valuable experience, leadership, and added depth to the club’s defensive unit as the team targets a strong and respectable league finish.

The former AFC Leopards captain is well known for his commanding presence at the back and his effectiveness during set pieces. He reunites with head coach Jeffers Odongo, with whom he previously enjoyed success at Kakamega Homeboyz. The pair played a key role in Homeboyz’ historic FKF Mozzart Bet Cup triumph in 2023, a victory that earned the club qualification for the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup.

Speaking on Kamura’s arrival, head coach Jeffers Odongo expressed confidence in the defender’s impact on the squad.
“Kamura joining us is a big boost for the team. He is a player I have worked with before and a natural leader. I am confident that his experience and maturity will help us achieve our set targets,” Odongo said.

Aside from AFC Leopards and Kakamega Homeboyz, Kamura has previously featured for Kariobangi Sharks, Mathare United, KCB FC and Dodoma Jiji FC in Tanzania’s NBC Premier League.
On the international stage, Kamura has represented Kenya’s Harambee Stars since 2016, with his most recent national team call-up coming in 2024.
